| To
reduce the size of photos:
If
you use Outlook Express
- In My Computer
or Windows Explorer, select the photo/s you want to send by email
- To select
more then one photo from a list,
- click
on the first file to highlight it
- hold
down the Ctrl button and click on any others you want, then
let the Ctrl btton go
- Right
click on one of the photos
- From the menu
that pops up, choose Send to
- From the resulting
menu, choose Mail recipient
- in the new small
window which appears, choose Make all my pictures smaller,
then click OK
- a standard email
window should then open, with the reduced photos already attached.
Just fill in the address etc as usual and send them on
If
you use Hotmail
- In the normal
window for sending an email
- Click the
'Attach" button.
- A menu
will give you the options 'File' or 'Photo'. Choose Photo
- A window
will open showing you the folders and files on your computer.
Choose the photos to attach.
- From the
top right hand corner of this window click the 'Upload
now' button
- The screen
will return to your email with the photos attached or in the process
of attaching. When it is finished send your email as usual.
NB If you choose
the 'File' option the photo will be sent in high resolution, which is
unnecessary and too big to go onto the internet
